Looking for an easy, refreshing summer cocktail, Marylanders? The Orange Crush, an elixir made with freshly squeezed orange juice, vodka, triple sec, Sprite and plenty of ice, was just voted Maryland’s official cocktail by the Maryland General Assembly in June.

We found this easy recipe online from Baltimore’s Dirty Laundry Kitchen (https://www.dirtylaundrykitchen.com/baltimore-orange-crush/), for a Baltimore Orange Crush that you can customize to your own tastes.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 ounces Orange Vodka
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • Juice of one whole orange, about 1/3 cup if using store bought fresh squeezed*
  • splash of Sprite (use club soda for less sugar)
  • crushed ice
  • orange slices for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fill a pint glass most of the way with crushed ice. Add orange vodka, triple sec, orange juice and top with sprite. Stir with a straw.

Add an orange slice for garnish.

TIP: Don’t forget to squeeze a bunch of oranges because everyone will want one!
